SUMMER BREEZE

In a beautiful day, I love to look up into the perfect blue sky, not a cloud in sight
and take a deep breath as if it has been the cleanest place in the world.

Dún Laoghaire Ireland

Living in Dublin for 1.5 years has given me a chance to discover its neighbourhoods, specially in beautiful days. I love to look up into the perfect blue sky, not a cloud in sight and take a deep breath as if it has been the cleanest place in the world. Last summer, I visited Bray and Dollymount, where you can enjoy a wide range of festivals and activities across the magnificent beach. I will continue to visit different places within one hour of Dublin for a magical sunny weekend when I have free time this summer.

Dún Laoghaire, the beautiful seaside and harbour town situated 12 kilometres from Dublin city centre is my new favourite place near where I am staying. I often visit there with my family at a nice and sunny weekend to walk along Dún Laoghaire Pier and have an ice cream at Teddy's. You can also rent a bike and explore the breathtaking sight of Dún Laoghaire. The return journey is about 2.6km along the East Pier, where you can view the Dublin Bay. Don't miss the famous Forty Foot if you are looking for a dinner with freshly artisan Irish food. Having a lunch break there is my favourite to-do thing as the venue is in a lovely location overlooking Dún Laoghaire harbour.

How to get there?

By DART from Dublin to Dún Laoghaire. The DART runs every 5 minutes during rush hour periods and every 20 mins during the day.

By Dublin Bus: 7, 7a, 8, 45a, 46a, 59, 75, 111 - the terminus is located at the DART station.

What is more, I would like to share with you different sides of the harbour that I found in particular days with natural blue colours of the sea and outdoor activities. Enjoy!
